How to reconnect Sungrow inverter to the internet?
Step-by-step tutorial on how to reconnect your Sungrow inverter to the internet.
- Take a smart device capable of accessing local wireless networks like a phone, laptop or tablet, and your home WiFi network name and password.
- Download the iSolarCloud app onto the device. Log in to your portal using your email and password that you would have initially created, and ensure you are selecting the Australian or international server. If you cannot remember your login details, follow the prompts to reset your password.
- In your device settings, go to ‘network settings’. Select the Sungrow WiFi network that will be labeled ‘SG-XXXXXXXXX’ – the number will depend on the serial number of your inverter.
- Open the iSolarCloud app. Click on the three dots labeled ‘More’ on the bottom right, and then select ‘WLAN Configuration’.
- Select your home network from the available WiFi networks, and enter the password for your home WiFi and press confirm. If the password is correct the network will appear with a tick next to it and a dialogue will pop up saying ‘WLAN Login Password Setting Successful’, click ‘Next’.
- The screen will say ‘the inverter has successfully connected to the home router’. Press ‘complete’.
- To confirm the process has worked, click on home on the bottom left and you’ll be able to see the system data.
